Sky CSS gradients

Sky CSS gradients with light blue and cyan-blue stops, from a softer horizon tint to a clearer blue for open, airy backgrounds. These 24 selected examples come from the existing gradient library.

Gradient usage, contrast & CSS

Use this gradient.

Try a sky blend behind an illustration or a short page introduction. A solid dark foreground usually makes a better starting point than white lettering on these pale stops.

Text over gradients.

The pale horizon end is often the weakest background for white text. Check the actual text position and avoid relying on the darker blue end alone.

CSS for Glacier Mist

background: radial-gradient(ellipse at 30% 25%, #B9DEEA 0%, #7EC3DF 100%);
background: radial-gradient(ellipse at 30% 25% in oklab, #B9DEEA 0%, #7EC3DF 100%);

The first declaration supplies an sRGB fallback; the second interpolates in OKLab. Create a gradient with your own colours and stops.
