Ocean CSS gradients

Ocean CSS gradients ranging from teal and turquoise to blue and indigo, with cool sea-inspired linear and radial colour paths. These 24 selected examples come from the existing gradient library.

Gradient usage, contrast & CSS

Use this gradient.

Use the teal-to-blue path for water illustrations or a small atmospheric panel. Keep the lighter turquoise end away from white labels unless the pair passes a contrast check.

Text over gradients.

Teal and blue may look different while sharing similar luminance. Check text throughout the sea-colour transition instead of assuming the blue end makes it safe.

CSS for Indigo & Ink

background: linear-gradient(45deg, #699DCE 0%, #386268 40%, #1D3081 100%);
background: linear-gradient(45deg in oklab, #699DCE 0%, #386268 40%, #1D3081 100%);

The first declaration supplies an sRGB fallback; the second interpolates in OKLab. Create a gradient with your own colours and stops.
