Galaxy CSS gradients

Galaxy-inspired CSS gradients joining deeper blue and violet or magenta stops. The collection shows colour blends rather than star-field effects. These 24 selected examples come from the existing gradient library.

Gradient usage, contrast & CSS

Use this gradient.

Let a blue-to-violet blend carry a compact night-sky panel and add any stars as separate illustration elements. Keep functional controls on predictable surfaces.

Text over gradients.

Violet and magenta can become noticeably brighter than the blue end. Test light text across the transition, not just against the deepest blue stop.

CSS for Amethyst Dusk

background: linear-gradient(180deg, #4F3C8D 0%, #30326E 100%);
background: linear-gradient(180deg in oklab, #4F3C8D 0%, #30326E 100%);

The first declaration supplies an sRGB fallback; the second interpolates in OKLab. Create a gradient with your own colours and stops.
